GALE STAR EVENTS IN THE AUDITORIUM

Beethoven At Old Main

To celebrate the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth, six local pianists gathered to record a virtual concert at Old Main Historical & Community Arts Center in Galesville, WI. Each played an individually selected piece of music from Beethoven's amazing repertoire. The film was recorded and edited by Wade Britzius.

Performing in order are:

Carol Lombard: Piano Sonata No. 3, Op. 2, No. 3. Adagio and Scherzo
Barb Dotta: Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp minor,  Op. 27, No. 2, First Mvt.
Kathy Meunier: German Dance #1 in C Major
Judy Byom: Sonatina in F major, Anh 5, Rondo and Ecossaisen
Cathy Kreisel: Fur Elize, Bagatelle in G minor, Opus 119, No. 1 and No. 3
Mary Graziano: Piano Sonata, Op. 28, Allegro

Monthly Art Shows

The gallery will be filled with Works of Art from the G-E-T District-Wide Art Show throughout the month of March.

Mission of the "Gale Star Music Series":

To introduce talented music students to the public at an off campus venue

​To feature regional faculty and professional musicians as an inspiration to others at an affordable cost to the public.

To offer programs that appeal to a broad range of performing arts interests including secular, sacred, classical, & popular music.

To offer appropriate stipends that will help and encourage both students and professional musicians

To offer art shows in Old Main's gallery spaces in coordination with historical displays and other works of Old Main.

Old Main Friendship Shares:
Purchase annual Friendship Shares to support the Purpose, Preservation, Programs, and Personnel needed at Old Main.
Shares for the annual program are $50.00 each. One share admits one person to all “Gale Star” shows until Founder’s Day 2021. Multiple shares admit two people plus two guest. You will also received an admission card and a frame able share certificate to show your support, your name will appear in a directory with other supporters.

Old Main Friendship Investors: Scholar: $50 - $200; Dean’s List: $250 - $450; Reasearch and Development Team: $500 - $950; Provost’s Circle: $1,000 - $1,450; Chancellor’s Circle: $1,500+
