Register Now Curious about the starry night sky? Want to see, with your own eyes, craters on the moon, moons around other planets, hundreds of galaxies, and countless stars? Learn the basics of What’s Up in the night sky, as well as how to choose the proper equipment (star charts, binoculars, telescopes, etc.) to find and see these amazing objects. View the night sky through telescopes, or depending on the weather, take a virtual tour in a portable planetarium.

Co-sponsored by Western Technical College - this class (for anyone about twelve or older who wants to know more about the night sky) will be taught by author and Galesville resident Paul Kinzer:       Though he spent most of his life in St. Paul/Minneapolis, Paul Kinzer now lives in Galesville, where the night sky is dark and the stars are bright.   He takes advantage of his location to observe and take astrophotos through his several telescopes. Paul also travels to schools, libraries, and other venues with his portable planetarium, to share the night sky during the day. He has been an occasional guest on Wisconsin Public Radio, answering listener questions about astronomy and astronomy equipment.     Visit Paul’s website:   http://seeingstarswi.wordpress.com/

Paul has spent most of his adult life working with kids, from pre-schoolers through high-schoolers, and finds their enthusiastic curiosity and endless questioning a great source of nourishment for his own desire to learn, and to share what he’s learned with others.”
