This year, Old Main will turn 152 years old. In it’s past it served as the “Main” Building of the Gale College Campus. Over the course of the building’s life, it has served many different uses and was owned by many organizations. All of which, helped preserve Old Main for everyone to enjoy today and in the future.
Please feel free to explore more about Old Main’s history by visiting the "Historic Photos", “John Lincoln Clem”, “Song”, & “Chronology” pages found under the "History" tab. Our "Monthly History Lesson" page features a new history lesson about Old Main and/or the area each month.
For more information about our upcoming special events and Gale Star Music Series, please visit the “Events” page. We are very excited to not be able to sell our Gale Star Music Series Ticket Booklets online along with some special events tickets. Please got to our online "Ticket Booth" for more information.
In addition to the various events held at Old Main, we now offer you the opportunity to rent various spaces throughout the building, or even the entire building. For more information regarding this opportunity, please visit the “Host Your Event at Old Main” page.
As we are a non-profit organization our resources are always small, especially since Old Main is operated almost entirely by volunteers. In order for us to continue offering our current events and to host new events, we need your help. Please visit the “Donations” page or click the button above to donate whatever you are comfortable with and can afford. Whether $1 or $100,000, anything and everything will help Old Main now and in the future.
